Open Question: How to ask about volunteer opportunities at an art gallery?
I was looking towards volunteering at an art gallery in my city and was wondering how to go about it. I'm sixteen years old and think that being involved there would an amazing opportunity (I want to go into art myself). Anywho, I think I would feel most comfortable either e-mailing the gallery or going in in person and asking. But how does one go about asking in a semi-professional way? Specifically the email. I've never been employed before. How should I start out the letter? What do I say in it? What information about myself should I add, if any? I just want to ask what the volunteer options are, not sign myself up for anything yet.
