Open Question: how do i convince my parents to let me go to boarding school?
i am 14, a girl and I'm going into ninth grade. i would apply for going into tenth grade. i have a few art boarding schools in mind, one of which my friend is going to already.i don't get along with my sister who is at collage but when she comes home i feel so depressed and I'm so sick of my parents always favoring her i have tried to express my feelings to them, but they just don't care and blame everything on me. i have never brought up that i would like to go to boarding school, but my parents have said how they wouldn't ever want me to go. sometimes they act all nice to me but other times i feel un loved and I'm just so sick of their mood swings. how can i break the news to them that i want to go to boarding school? i REALLY feel like i NEED to go. and also i don't have a lot of experience with acting, singing, and other arts but that is what i want to do and i feel that i am good at it. would they exempt someone like me in an arts boarding school? (walnut hill for example)? and i know this is off topic, but do you think they would have a handful of hot straight guys at walnut hill or any other arts boarding schools? because having a boyfriend would be nice too thanks! also, do you know of any other art boarding schools? i live in NY, USA and i don't think my parents would be to happy if i went somewhere so far away. but i have an aunt and a very close cousin who live in LA so maybe if there was one by LA that would be okay too.
