Open Question: Should I become an Engineering Tech?
I'm thinking about going back to school to get an Associate's in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering. I have a Bachelor's in English and Master's in Education thinking I was going to become a teacher but it turns out I really hate it and I'm not good at it anyway.
Are there any Engineering Tech's out there or people with an Associate's or even Bachelor's in Engineering that can shed some light as to whether or not this is a good idea. It seems to be the case that an Associate's in a STEM (science, technology, engineering, medicine) is worth more than a four year liberal arts degree.
I do enjoy math and am excited about learning more about the technical side of the world but am rather nervous about wasting more time and money. I do have a family and would like to give them a decent living.
