Open Question: Want to find a well paying job in Beijing, any ideas how?
I'm 17, and the situation is that my girlfriend will be moving to China to go Beijing University. Since my girlfriend is going to Beijing next year to study, i will miss her very much (i will want to marry her one day, but her family live in Beijing and want her to study there). I would much rather be with her than study a degree i wont even enjoy, away from her. Even if it will get me well-paying job 10 years down the line.
I live in the UK, and although i have straight A's in most of my exams, i don't consider myself an 'acedemic' oddly enough. I don't want to get a degree (though I will if i have to) and I was considering going into the stock market instead of going university (even though my teachers said i could get into a top medical school if i applied).
So, will there be any well-paying jobs that are possible for a young adult to do if he/she hasn't got a degree in Beijing? I was thinking working in the stock market or maybe an artist (i'm a scholor in fine art). I would like have advice about this, because i fear this is just a pipe dream, and i'm destined to be apart from her. :(
p.s. I'm fluent in speaking mandarin, but nowhere near native. I'm not good with reading it either.
