Open Question: Would it be a good idea to get an MPA, MURP, or a Masters in Transportation Planning & Mgmt?
I am graduating from LSU in Spring of 2013, and beginning to plan out my future after graduation. I am currently on track to graduate with a BA in Liberal Arts (Concentration in Disaster Management) and a minor in Business Admin. I have been looking into moving to Houston or Dallas, and hope to get into graduate school there. The way the economy is these day, one wonders what path to take in terms of job prospects. Personally, a masters in either public administration, urban planning, or transportation planning/management peaks my interests. I have experience in working in local and state govt, as I have interned at both levels in offices of Emergency Management. I don't necessarily need to follow a career in EM, so this is why I am looking into other areas for employment. Any ideas as to which of these master's programs would be worth the effort and $?
