Resolved Question: Why are women not usually into metrosexual/"feminine" type of guys?

I get told often that I am not masculine and that this is a turn off although I have primarily female friends. For example I don't like sports; I love music like Colbie Callait, Sheryl Crow, and Natalie Merchant but especially indie artists that you can only find on iTunes or through word of mouth; I am very metrosexual in general in my grooming and style of clothes; I went to art school as a tern and have numerous pieces of art on the wall--I have also painted canvases for girls i have dated in the past; I enjoy cooking for women I date (not a cheapskate but I can make almost any exquisite Italian or French entree one could want; I speak French fluently; I love foreign films and chick flicks; I love interior design projects and decorating; I dont drink beer but I have a great taste in wine; and I don't really have male friends that often. Is my personality/makeup an issue or turnoff?

Let me add that I am 29, am decent looking, have an excellent job, and a great education (working on my PHD) so those factors are check marks on the ledger for me.
