Resolved Question: Is my mom right to be angry at me? ADVICE?
The school I go to is a alternative school for bad butt kids. Well I decided to go here because last year I had missed to many school days which made me fail my classes (passed the actual class, failed because the days). So in order for me to catch up so I could actually graduate this year I decided to come here (they offer 10 classes instead of the usual 6 along with offer night classes).
Only problem is in this school bad things ALWAYS happen. There is usually atleast 2 fights on a daily base. Well on Monday things escalated big time from just a fight when we were on our way back from lunch. My teacher was still out and as I was coming in this guy Eric came in PISSED. Right after so did this guy Dallas. Them two got to arguing and long story short he pulled out a gun.
I just had to be the one sitting dead between them -_- Well as soon as I saw the gun I went into reflex mode. I grew up in the house with 3 brothers and they all taught me how to fight because in there words "guys suck" and I need to protect myself. I may be a somewhat tiny girl but I still know martial arts (used to compete) and boxing (never competed but just went to the gym after school everyday for like a year) along with been to self defense classes. Well the guy that had the gun I was able to take it from him and break his arm I think in the matter of a few seconds.
I got plenty of credit for what I did and got myself on the news (local news but still the news lol). Well my mom instead of being happy got pissed because she says what I did was stupid and was trying to get myself killed (kill joy -_-).
Today was the first day she told me she was even remotely proud of me. Before it was just rude comments about how if I didn't need to graduate she would transfer me out that school. An how I need to remember I'm not "super woman" I'm still just a skinny 5'4 girl.
So now I'm wondering, is what I did that bad? Somebody please explain my moms anger PLEASE.
